Norita Beaudry Obituary

Norita Beaudry, 91, of Argyle, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, December 31, 2025, at First Care Health Center in Park River, North Dakota, with her beloved husband by her side.

Norita Anne Goplin was born on August 17, 1934, in Warren, Minnesota, to Walter and Eleanore (Anderson) Goplin. She was raised in Warren and graduated from Warren High School in 1952. On November 6, 1954, Norita was united in marriage to Lyle Beaudry in Argyle. Together they made their home in Argyle, where they shared 71 devoted years of marriage and built a life rooted in love, faith, and community.

Throughout her life, Norita held several jobs, including working at the Argyle Hartz Store and cooking at the North Star Café, where she was especially known for her delicious mashed potatoes. She also gave piano lessons for many years, teaching on the piano that Lyle and their sons refurbished. For the final 20 years of her working life, Norita served as the bookkeeper for Lyle at Argyle Chemical.

Music was one of Norita’s greatest joys. She was a gifted pianist and organist and faithfully served as the church organist at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for 38 years, providing music for weekly Masses, funerals, and weddings.

Norita was truly a people person and a friend to all. Many evenings found Norita and Lyle sitting on their front porch, waving and visiting with neighbors and passersby.

Grateful to have shared Norita’s life are her husband of 71 years, Lyle Beaudry; sons, Mark (JoAnne) Beaudry of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, and Lee (Georgia) Beaudry of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota; grandchildren, Kyle (Rose) Beaudry, Patrick (Steph) Beaudry, and Brandon (Sammy) Beaudry; great-grandchildren, Sullivan, Calvin, Briar, Warren, and Mack; siblings, Corrine (Don) Slaughter of Dundas, Minnesota, and Howard (Vicky) Goplin of Rosemount, Minnesota; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family would like to thank First Care Health Center for the excellent care given to both Norita and Lyle.

Services will be held in Spring/Summer of 2026.
