Rita Theresa (Beaudry) Edgar

Rita Edgar, 96, of Warren, MN, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, in North Star Manor, Warren.

Rita Theresa was born on December 19, 1925, in Argyle, MN, to Ivanhoe and Mezzine (Dufault) Beaudry. Raised on the family farm, Rita learned early the values that would shape the rest of her life. She was baptized and confirmed in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Argyle, and graduated from Argyle High School. On October 24, 1944, Rita was united in Holy Matrimony to Lloyd Edgar, in her home church. The young couple made their home near Warren where they farmed for many years. The typical farmer's wife of the time, Rita worked side-by-side with her husband, helping Lloyd with farmwork and raising their two children.

She was a longtime member at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and was active in its Altar Society. Lloyd died on March 3, 2013, and Rita continued her work as a mother and grandmother. In later years, Rita moved into North Star Manor when her mobility began to decline.

Rita is loved and survived by her daughter, Sharon Abrahamson; grandchildren, Tami (Rod) Reynolds, Todd (Arlene) Copp, Tony (Sara) Abrahamson, and Stacy (Dan) Lewis; great-grandchildren, Dani (Andy Sandberg) and Dexter Copp, Cody and Becca (fiance, Jeff Greeninger) Reynolds; Max, Jack, Will, and Luke Abrahamson, Jordan, Heather, and Tyler Bjornstad, Courtney Nesland, and Ramsey and Zane Lewis; and great-great-granddaughter, Emmi Sandberg; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her husband, Lloyd, Rita was preceded in death by her son, Terry Edgar; her son-in-law, Ron Abrahamson; and her siblings, Kenneth (Lolamae) Beaudry and Marjorie (Gerald) Altendorf.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 10:30 AM, in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Warren, MN.
VISITATION: One hour prior to Mass.
INTERMENT: Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Warren MN.
