Rodney Jones

Rodney Jones, 63, of rural Warren, MN, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at his home. He had suffered a major heart attack in December of 2018.

Rodney Troy Jones was born May 29, 1956 in Wiesbaden, Germany to Robert and Delores (Olson) Jones. He was raised in Warren where he was confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church and graduated from Warren High School in 1974. Rodney utilized many skills in working in various vocations over the years, mainly construction and farming and doing seasonal work for local farmers. He enjoyed living the quiet life on the family farm.

He enjoyed welding, cutting wood and his dogs. Rodney loved his daughters and grandchildren and he closely followed their lives and proudly displayed their photos.

Left to mourn his passing are his daughters and grandchildren, Wendy Steer and sons, Jackson and Hunter of Warren, MN, Melissa Schwengler and children, Emily and Zachary of Fargo, ND and Holly (James) Parker and daughters, Alexis, Elizabeth and Kinley of Stephen, MN; three brothers, Robbie (Mary Beth) Jones of McIntosh, MN, Brian Jones of Thief River Falls, MN and Gale (Michelle) Jones of Sanger, TX; sisters, Brenda (Todd) Krupich of Fargo, ND and Gerri Jones (Pete Frey) of San Marcos, CA; step-mother, Darla Jones of Apache Junction, AZ; many extended relatives and his dog, Fred.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Delores and great-nephews, Hudson and Cooper Jones.

SERVICE: 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Warren, MN.
VISITATION: One hour before services.
