Shirley Sinn

Shirley Sinn, 86, of Warren, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 5, 2021 in her home.

Shirley was born on May 6, 1935 in Johnson Township, Polk County, MN, the daughter of Simon and Idella (Norberg) Bergerson. She was raised in rural Gully, MN and graduated from Gonvick High School in Gonvick, MN. Shirley worked as a nurses aid at the hospital in Fosston, MN before moving to Minneapolis, MN where she worked at the Munsingwear factory. She was united in marriage to Kenneth J. Sinn on October 30, 1965 in Gonvick. They made their home in Warren. She worked at the Marshall County Jail as the cook for 21 years. Kenneth died on July 27, 2014.

She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Warren.

Shirley enjoyed gardening and playing the organ, violin and accordion. Shirley loved to cook and enjoyed her time in the kitchen and she also bowled for many years.

Left to mourn her passing are two sons, David (Lynette) Sinn and Mark (Christine) Sinn all of Warren, MN; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; siblings, Dennis (Sharon) Bergerson and Roger (Shirley Ann) Bergerson and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Idella; husband, Kenneth; infant son; great-granddaughter, Elaina Hamrick and siblings, Vina Anderson, Rodney (Sharon) Bergerson and Bud Bergerson.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 AM on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Warren, MN.

VISITATION: One hour before services at the church.

INTERMENT: Next to her husband, Kenneth, in Greenwood Cemetery in Warren, MN.
