Susan Osowski

Susan Osowski, 65, of Newfolden, MN, formerly of Hallock, MN, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Karlstad Senior Living in Karlstad, MN.

Susan Kay was born on August 30, 1960 in Warren, MN, the daughter of Francis “Frank” and Bernice (Peterson) Osowski. She was raised with her siblings on a farm in Fork Township, Marshall County, MN where she was a typical farm kid. Susan grew up playing kick ball and softball with the neighbor farm kids and doing all the things that children did back then. They spent a lot of time outdoors whether it be summer or winter. She also hoed sugar beets for what seemed like miles. She attended Stephen Public Schools. Susan worked at the State School in Grafton, ND for several years. She was a stay at home mom while her daughters were growing up. Susan later moved to Hallock where she worked at the Kittson Memorial Nursing Home as a certified nursing assistant for many years. She moved to Newfolden to be closer to her children and grandchildren. For the last ten years, Susan has had several health issues that she dealt with including COPD.

She was a free spirit who did not judge people. Susan had a great love for animals, especially her cat, Milo and dog, Daisy. She taught her daughters how to make potato dumplings. Family was the number one priority in her life, especially her grandchildren. They have many fond memories of sleeping over with grandma and making couch forts with pillows and having mac and cheese and Oreos.

Grateful to have shared her life are her daughters, Samantha Ryba; Amanda Donarski and Tiffany Donarski, all of Newfolden, MN; grandchildren, Avynn, Kemry, Ashtyn, Braxtin, Marlie and Finnley; siblings, Bruce (Mary) Osowski, Brad (Kylie) Osowski and Nancy (John) Webster and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Bernice; her cat, Milo and dog, Daisy.

VISITATION: 1:00 - 3:00 PM on Friday, January 2, 2026 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Newfolden, MN.

In celebration of Susan’s love of purple, pink and floral colors, guests are invited to wear these colors to her service.

INTERMENT: Woodlawn Cemetery, Argyle, MN.
