Terrance Beaudry

Terry Beaudry, 80, of Alvarado, MN, died peacefully with his children and wife by his side on Friday, January 29, 2021, in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Terrance Lee Beaudry was born on June 12, 1940, in Grand Forks, to Daniel and Dolores (Olson) Beaudry. He was raised in Alvarado, graduating from the local high school in the class of 1958. Following graduation, Terry attended NDSU. On January 31, 1959, Terry was united in marriage to Sharon Iverson. The young couple made their home in Alvarado and raised their three children. Terry always had a great love for the land and was proud to be a farmer. Sharon passed away on August 17, 1992.

On November 20, 1993, Terry was blessed to marry a longtime friend and fellow widow, Alice (Anderson) Ekman. They continued to live in Alvarado, where Terry worked alongside his son. He was an active member of his church from the time it was built. In his spare time, Terry enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, watching the Twins, traveling, and spending time with his family at the lake. Terry loved being a grandfather to his own and to Alice's grandchildren and kept numerous family pictures in every nook and cranny of his office.

Terry will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 27 years, Alice; children, Becky Swanson of Eagan, MN, and Mike (Cindy) Beaudry of Alvarado; son-in-law, Eric Jakubowski of Mt. Prospect, IL; Alice's sons, David (Paula), Paul (Carla), Steve (Bobbi), and Scott (Sophie) Ekman; sister, Bonnie Kiley; nineteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his first wife, Sharon; Terry was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Joni Beaudry; and son-in-law, Jeff Swanson.

Memorials are preferred and may be made to New Hope Lutheran Church, Alvarado; or your local Food Shelf in Terry's memory.

PRIVATE FAMILY FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at 10:30 AM, in New Hope Lutheran Church, Alvarado, MN.
INTERMENT (Open to the Public): Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at 11:15 AM, in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Alvarado.
