Terry Lloyd Edgar, 68, lifelong resident of Warren, MN, died on Monday, February 22, 2021, in North Star Manor, Warren.
Terry was born on January 4, 1953, in Warren, to Lloyd and Rita (Beaudry) Edgar. He was raised in Warren and graduated from high school with the class of 1972. From childhood, Terry loved working on the farm. He was happiest when he was out helping his dad, Lloyd, make things grow. In those early years, the family also kept racehorses, and Terry enjoyed riding and going to the races. On February 21, 1976, Terry was married to Linda Kaye Olson. When farming took a turn and Terry had to find other employment, his heart always remained in the fields. In 1998, Terry began working for North American Assembly, which handled tires for Arctic Cat 4-wheelers.
At 10 years old, Terry was diagnosed with Type-1 Diabetes. In his lifelong struggle Terry always saw the world through rose-tinted glasses. His easygoing nature helped him through a lot (he was the longest-lived of his doctor's diabetes patients) as his disease and other ailments continued to limit his mobility. In some ways, though, Terry had no need to be bothered: he was content wherever he was- and he liked Warren best of all. He enjoyed being home with his dog, Skippy, watching the Twins and the Vikings on TV, and working in his garden. He knew that at its peak there was never a weed to be found. He also took great pride in his yard. From the seat of his tractor, Terry could maintain his perfect lawn and help neighbors keep their grass (almost) as perfectly cut as his own.
Terry is survived by his former wife, friend, and caretaker, Linda Edgar; mother, Rita Edgar; sister, Sharon (Ron) Abrahamson; and daughter, Stacy (Dan Lewis) Nesland, and her children, Jordan, Heather, and Tyler Bjornstad, Courtney Nesland, and Ramsey and Zane Lewis-Nesland.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd; and grandchildren, Dakota and Murphy Lewis-Nesland.
