Wayne W. Wrolson, 70, of Rochester, MN, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester.
Wayne Walter Wrolson was born on August 29, 1953 in Canby MN, the son of Walter W. and Arloine Wrolson. He lived his early years in Warren, MN and graduated in 1971 from Warren High School. Wayne had kept in touch with many of his high school friends. He got his Electrical Engineering degree from University of North Dakota. His first job was at IBM. He met a lot of friends there and has kept them throughout the years. Wayne worked with computers and programming. He had various other jobs besides IBM. Wayne retired in 1999 and he bought a condo in Rochester in which he lived until he passed away.
Wayne was an artist, a musician, and a collector of guitars, collectible stuffed animals, and many figurines. He also had a tank collection. His father was a lieutenant of a Sherman tank. He was very proud of his father's World War II experience. His father was a hero in World War II and was in Patton’s best Third Army.
Wayne is survived by his only sister Patricia Wrolson, who lives in Escondido, CA. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Warren, MN.
VISITATION: One hour before the funeral service.
INTERMENT: Greenwood Cemetery, Warren, MN.
