Arnold Larson

Arnold Larson, 87, Oslo, MN, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2006 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren, MN.

A. Arnold Larson was born on January 20, 1919 in Pencer, MN. He was adopted in October of 1921 by Albert and Anna Larson. He was raised in Bigwoods Township, Marshall County, MN where he attended country school. Arnold graduated from the Crookston AC. He was united in marriage to Viola Hedman on July 31, 1941 in Bemidji, MN. They made their home in Bigwoods Township where he farmed and was an insurance agent.

He was an active member of his community and he served on the School Board, Bigwoods Township Board and the Watershed Board. Arnold was a member of the Bigwoods Lutheran Church and the Woodmen Lodge.

Arnold enjoyed visiting with friends and family, hunting, fishing, golfing and wintering in Texas.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Viola of 65 years, two children, Delwood (Shirley) Larson of Oslo, MN and Donna Larson of Sheep Mountain, AK, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and half-brother, Ralph Dean of Grant Pass, OR.

He was preceded in death by his parents and half-brother, LeRoy Dean.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 AM on Monday, November 20, 2006 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Oslo, MN
VISITATION: After 5:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Sunday at the DuBore Funeral Home in Warren, MN and one hour before services at the church on Monday.
INTERMENT: Bigwoods Lutheran Cemetery, Bigwoods Township, Marshall County, MN.
