Conrad Gonsorowski

Conrad Gonsorowski, 70, of Grygla, MN, passed away of cancer on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND surrounded by his family.

Conrad Anthony Gonsorowski was born on Oct. 31, 1939 to Louis and Mary Gonsorowski of Argyle, MN. He graduated from Argyle High School in 1958. Conrad served in the US Army for four years with two years based in Guam. On Oct. 22, 1966, he married Betty Mikkelsen. They made their home in Thief River Falls, MN where they raised three daughters. Conrad owned Falls Radiator until 2002 when he retired and moved to Grygla. During his retirement, he enjoyed working on food plots for the elk and deer and fishing on the Lake of the Woods with his grandchildren and friends.

He was an active life member of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association with four years as president and the last several years as chapter State Director. Conrad was also a member of the Elk Foundation, Grygla Amercian Legion Post 162, Lions Club and a life member of the N.R.A..

He is survived by his wife, Betty; three daughters, Marie (Jeff) Binger of Spring Creek, NV, Sarah (Dave) Wagner of Bemidji, MN and Jolene (Tony Curcio) Gonsorowski of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Samuel, Hayden and Lydia Binger; Jack, Sullivan and Tessa Wagner and Hazel, Olive and Gabriel Curcio; brothers, Hubert (Ione) of Thief River Falls, MN, Edward of Tacoma, WA and Daniel of Baudette, MN; brothers-in-law, Gaylord Loughrey and Harry Kurowski; sister-in-law, Martha Gonsorowski and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leonard, Florian and Joseph; sisters, Rose Kurowski and MaryAnn Loughrey and sisters-in-law, Teresa and Lois Gonsorowski.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 10:00 AM on Monday, Dec. 28, 2009 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN.
VISITATION: After 4:30 PM with a 6:30 PM prayer service on Sunday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN and one hour before services on Monday.
INTERMENT: St. Clement's Cemetery, Grygla, MN.
MILITARY SERVICE BY: Grygla American Legion Post 162

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Pennington County Relay for Life.
