Darrell A. Novacek

Darrell Novacek, 70, of Angus, MN, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015, in Valley Eldercare, Grand Forks, ND, surrounded by his family.

Darrell Andrew Novacek was born on February 25, 1945, to Harry and Regina (Diedrich) Novacek, in Warren, MN. He grew up in Angus and attended Warren Public Schools until 10th grade, when he transferred to Crookston Agricultural College, where he graduated in 1963. He joined the ND National Guard in 1966, and served until 1972. On February 18, 1978, Darrell was married to Darlene Smith in Grace Free Lutheran Church, Bagley, MN. The couple made their home in Angus where Darrell farmed, and would continue to farm, until the end of his life.

He was a proud member of the Warren American Legion and the National Rife Association.

Darrell is survived by his daughter, Stacy (fiance, Scott Anderson) Novacek of East Grand Forks, MN; son, Bradley (Cera) Novacek of Kasson, MN; former spouse, Darlene Novacek; and two grandchildren, Tabitha Anderson and Madison Novacek

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Linda Opferkew.

Visitation: One hour prior to Mass.

Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at 10:30 AM, in St. Mary Catholic Church, Euclid, MN.

Interment: Prairie View Cemetery, Euclid.
