Jill Jenkins

Jill Jenkins, 57, of Warren, MN, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Jill Elizabeth Smart was born on July 28, 1958 in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of W. Ardell and Ruth (Johnson) Smart. Jill was raised in East Grand Forks, MN where she graduated from Sacred Heart School in 1977. On December 11, 1976, she was united in marriage to Randy Jenkins at Holy Family Catholic Church in Grand Forks. They made their home in Warren. Jill graduated with her LPN degree in 1983 and her RN degree in 1996. She worked at Altru Hospital, Warren Hospital and the Good Samaritan Center as a nurse for 17 years until she had to retire due to her health.

Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Randy; four children, Jennifer (Joe) Garceau of Grand Forks, ND, Jessica (Luke) Swanson of Warren, MN and Ashley (Paul) Fredrickson all of Warren, MN and Laura (Stephen) Ondrovich of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Madeline, Noah, Jacson, and Rylan; siblings, Rowann (Ronald) Larson, Barbara (Marlow) Wolf, Susan (Randy) Moe and Richard (Marilyn) Smart all of East Grand Forks, MN and Lisa (Kevin) Lunski of Grand Forks, ND; brothers-in-law, Gary (Alice) Jenkins of Skime, MN, Larry Jenkins of Grand Forks, ND, and David (Lori) Weber, of Warren; sister-in-law, Bette (Rick) Solberg of Warren, MN; aunt, Mae Amundsen of Lakewood, CA and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jill had a love for the Lord, enjoyed teaching Sunday School, and attended Harvest Church in Warren. Jill was a free spirit who will be remembered for her selflessness and her love for her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Florence and Clem Weber and James Jenkins; an infant son; niece, Heidi Smart; nephew, Bill Wolf; sisters-in-law, Marcie, Connie, Karlene, and Linda Jenkins; and brother-in-law, Ronald Jenkins.

Memorials Preferred to the Jenkins Family during this time of loss.

Visitation: 5:00 - 7:00 PM , with a prayer service at 6:30 PM, on Friday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Warren; and one hour before services at the church on Saturday.

Celebration of Life: 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Warren, MN.

Luncheon: to follow services at the church in the Warren Community Center.

Interment: Greenwood Cemetery, Warren.
