Kenneth Knoll

Kenneth Leo Knoll passed away Monday, February 8, 2016, at 12:56 PM, in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Kenneth was born in Parker Township, Marshall county, Minnesota on April 8, 1940, to Leo and Irene (Kroll) Knoll. He graduated from Stephen (MN) High School in May 1958 as President of his class, active in basketball, football, and baseball. In 1959 he enlisted in the US Army and was stationed in Korea for 2 years.

In 1962, Kenneth married Virginia Chwialkowski in Florian MN, and had three sons and a daughter. His career in construction began as an assistant manager at Robertson Lumber Company. After serving as an assistant manager, he accepted a manager’s position at Robertson Lumber in Karlstad, MN where he built his first home. He later relocated and purchased the Coast to Coast store in Warren, ending his career working for the US Postal Service, retiring in 2005. After retirement, his love was to spend time and share stories with family, grandchildren, and friends.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Irene; brothers, Herman and Rodney; and sisters, Rita and Rose.

He is survived by his children, Brian (Michelle) Knoll, Lindley Knoll, Troy Knoll, and Karlene Driver; five grandchildren, Natasha, Jason, Trey, Aliyah and Isaiah; brothers Wallace, Edward, Richard (Veronica), Ralph (Beverly), Harold (Janet); and sisters, Mavis (Julius) Helm and Phyllis (Donald) Pawlowski; as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 10:30 AM on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Warren, MN.

VISITATION: After 5:00 PM with a 6:30 PM prayer service on Sunday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Warren and one hour before services at the church on Monday.

INTERMENT: St. Stephen Catholic Cemetery, Stephen, MN.
