Ted Dvorak

Ted Dvorak, 63, of rural Tabor, MN, passed away on October 24, 2016 on the family farm.

Theodore Edward Dvorak was born on May 7, 1953 in Thief River Falls, MN, the son of Clarence and Ruth (Julin) Dvorak. He attended school in Warren where he graduated, and later went on to get a degree in computer programming. He worked for a year in that field but came home to farm with his dad and grandfather, Ed. Ted married Darlene Torgerson on March 8, 1975. Ted and Darlene continued on the family farm They raised two sons, Eric and Todd. In 2001, at the age of 48, Ted was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. He was able to continue to farm with the help of his two sons who made it possible by building whatever lifts were needed to assist him in and out of machinery. For that, he was forever grateful.

He was life time member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Tabor. Ted served his church and community on different committees over the years. But his first love was his wife, Darlene and family, Eric and Sara, Todd and Kailee, Noah, Owen, Lucas and Bennett.

Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ruth Dvorak and father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Mary Torgerson.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife of 41 years, Darlene; two sons, Eric and wife Sara, Todd and wife Kailee; grandchildren, Noah, Lucas, Owen and Bennett, and the “Tabor Crew”, his dearest and closest friends, his family. May he no longer be in pain.

He lived on his terms.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 AM on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Bethany Lutheran Church in rural East Grand Forks, MN.

VISITATION: After 5:00 PM with a 6:30 PM prayer service on Thursday at Bethany Lutheran Church in rural East Grand Forks, MN and one hour before services at the church on Friday.

INTERMENT: Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Tabor, MN
