Ruth Ann (Lundgren) Hutchins

Ruth Ann Hutchins or as she was best known by her friends as Ruthie and family as Nani, passed away at Scottsdale Healthcare in Scottsdale, Arizona on May 27TH. Ruthie was ready to go and join her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven. Ruthie was born in Warren, MN. On July 30, 1935 to Clinton and Margretta Lundgren both of whom preceded her in death. Ruthie was also preceded in death by her Brother Clinton Jr. (Sonny) and her sister Kathy Peterson. Ruthie was baptized at First Lutheran Church in Warren and graduated from Warren High School in 1953. Following High School Ruthie attended Gustavus Adolphus College for one year and then went to Grace Downs School in New York City to become a Stewardess. Following Grace Down School Ruthie became a Stewardess for Capital Airlines and was based in Washington D.C. for a few years. Ruthie moved from Washington to Minneapolis and married Rodney Wallace and they had two beautiful daughter’s Gretchen and Bridget. Ruthie loved being a mother to her girls and she adored them. Unfortunately Ruthie’s marriage to Rodney dissolved and she later went on to marry the love of her life Terry Hutchins. Her marriage to Terry came with 3 boys: Traver, Webster and Grant who she loved very much. Terry also preceded Ruthie in death when he passed away in 1982. Ruthie was a grandmother to Taylor Schierman, Nicholas Schierman and Jennifer Harter. Ruthie was known as Nani to her grandchildren and she absolutely loved her role as Nani. Ruthie also had three great grandchildren Kaden, Hunter and Madison (Children of Taylor Schierman and Rob Griswold). Ruthie is survived by her sister Mary Hauck (Dave Hauck) of Northfield, MN. her brother-in-law Pete Peterson formally of Warren, MN her daughters, Gretchen Wallace, Bridget Harter (Scott), grandchildren and great grandchildren (previously mentioned) and many close friends.

Ruthie will be put to rest at a Graveside Service at the Greenwood Cemetery in Warren on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at 11:00am.
