I will miss Cal's visits. He would stop at the Body Shop and visit Lowell and I frequently, and when Lowell passed away, his heartfelt condolences were a comfort to us all. His heart was generous and caring and that is how I will remember him. Peace to you, Cal, as you cross the River and live in everlasting life. And, peace to the family as they remember the many wonderful memories of his life well lived. ~

To the family of Calvin Melgard, may the laughter and tears you've shared give you joy, peace, and love to comfort and sustain you during this time of grieving.
I recall the many "visits" Mr. Melgard and I would have as he walked by the home of my parents on Montana Street as he delivered the mail, long ago in the 60's as I was growing up. Cal's words of wisdom he shared with me when I informed him of my intent to join the U.S. Navy the summer of 1970. Cal said, "do what your told, and keep your nose clean (meaning stay out of trouble) and you'll be just fine". Very good words to live by.
