Carol Mott

Carol Mott, 72, of St. Hilaire, MN, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Sanford Medical Center in Thief River Falls, MN.

Carol Ann Martinson was born on April 24, 1944 in Detroit Lakes, MN, the daughter of William and Ovedia (Vange) Martinson. She was raised in the Detroit Lakes area where she attended country school, Lake Park school and graduated from Detroit Lakes High School in 1961. On August 18, 1963, she married Leland Mott. They made their home in Detroit Lakes and Seattle, WA until they moved to St. Hilaire in 1975. She worked in kitchen customer service, DAC in Thief River Falls, AmericInn and Arctic Cat. Leland died on December 29, 2000.

She enjoyed doing word finds, playing cards, making puzzles and bird watching, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Left to mourn her passing are her children, Carmine (Brian) Trulson of Newfolden, MN, Carolyn (Roger) Jordahl of Warren, MN, Leland (Jessica) Mott Jr. of St. Hilaire, MN, Loretta (Fella) Drevlow and Lonnie (Patty) Mott all of Thief River Falls, MN; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Arlene Meyer of Park Rapids, MN, Helen Seidel of Pelican Rapids, MN, Judy (Duane) Nelson of Osage, MN, David Martinson and Dean Martinson all of Detroit Lakes, MN and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leland Sr.; two grandchildren, Casey Hennen and Aric Gerszewski; brothers, Dale, Bobby and Douglas and sisters, Ester Jorgenson and Marilyn Horner.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN.

VISITATION: After 5:00 PM with a 6:30 PM prayer service on Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN and one hour before services at the church on Saturday.

INTERMENT: St. Hilaire Cemetery, St. Hilaire, MN
