Don was always there to help when a machine blow a gasket, when Ryan needed an adult to bowl in a tournament with, and would let me use his golf cart when he thought it was too hot for me to walk on golf nights. I remember the guys talking about Don at nationals saying "you got a room, you got a room, you got a room" He will always be remembered we were all blessed to have known him.

So many good memories of Don out at Cactus Lanes. I can credit him and Marge for peaking my interest in bowling at a young age thru school and into adult leagues. We bowled together on a few teams thru the years. I remember sitting and watching you guys play cards with your brother Bob and Dale Zutz. I bet there's a game going on now..RIP

Don was a great friend and bowling mentor. I had many great times with him at the national tournaments.
I look forward to bowling with you again on the other side.

We heard many stories from these trips, especially funny was the one where no one could remember where the car was parked. :)

Kim, my deep felt condolences on the passing of your father. I had many conversations with your dad on so many subjects. Yes, I would call Don a former boss, but your Dad was much more. He was family to me. Even when I enlisted in the military, I made sure to spend time in conversation while on leave. In the last two years I am glad we spoke every time I was visiting in Warren. When we last spoke in October, Don still kept his famous smile and positive attitude. May the fond memories of your Dad comfort you. I know he is in a room in heaven prepared especially for him. God bless you and your family.

Rest in peace, Don. You were such a wonderful man. I spent more time with you and Marge at the lanes on winter weekends than I did with my own parents! Friday nights, Saturday, Sunday. Each weekend, bowling, laughing, visiting with you. Junior leagues, then adult leagues. I've many fond memories of those days. God bless you, Don, and may He bless your family during this difficult time.
