There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of my father. He was the best dad, who cared and worked hard every day to provide for his family. We have a huge void in our lives but his memory lives on forever in all of us.
Dad, we will always love you and we were so blessed to call you Dad!! Heaven definitely received a hero ... That's you!

Jack and Ray Charlton and Pat Kane were a trio of cousins one memorable summer back when the national speed limit was 35 mph so that a trip from Agar SD to Stephen Minn took a respectable length of time and we had to listen to Uncle Raymond Sinnott boast of (pre-war) cruises with his buddies to the Twin Cites @ 90 per and the local car dealer's kid complained of the wood block his Dad fastened under the foot feed on his car. And my Dad and Uncle Jim Whalen had to go to clean to Winnipeg for a pint of the good stuff

I am so very sorry for your loss. The Bible makes this comforting promise: "Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted, he saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18) It also assures us: " Throw your burden on Jehovah, and he will sustain you." (Psalm 55:22) May these thoughts bring you a measure of comfort at this difficult time.

Jack was always there to help Mom (Florence Kuznia) by clearing off the driveway in the winter or mowing her lawn in the summer. I remember Jack & Rita coming into the store to buy groceries or just have a cup of coffee with "Harry Hartz".

Rita and Family: We send our condolences on Jack's passing. He was one of the friendliest and funniest men we ever knew. He always had a greeting and, usually, some type of joke when we met him somewhere. Our favorite story which we repeat to others was the time he asked me how far it was from his house to the Dairy Queen. I said a few blocks. No, he said, it's 63 miles. Not sure who he was talking about but ...

I was very sorry to hear the news about Jack; I worked with him for five summers, 1969-73, on the Warren highway crew, during my college years. It was fun working with him as the leader of the team, and I appreciated his wisdom and good humor.
I also got to know Rita and I send my sympathy to her and the entire family.
Jack was a good man and I am grateful for the memories of him.
