I will never forget the back and forth debates between my grandma and father. All the phone conversations we had over the years. I will forever cherish those hand written letters I got in the mail from her. (Granted I had to have my dad decipher some of them.)

So sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Shirley for many years at the County Auditor's office. She had a knack for figuring things out and trying to make things better. She was always cheerful and relished every day. Glad she is at rest and back together with her man. She will be missed.

Dearest Family, It is with a heavy heart that we just learned of both Vernie and Shirley's passings. We can't imagine how hard it has been for you to say goodbye to both of your parents (grandparents) within such a short time span. As we read Shirley's beautiful obituary, it brought back many wonderful memories of times spent "at the farm" over the years.....Starting way back when Aunt Lucy and Uncle Emil lived there. Our last visit was several years ago when 4 of us cousin's (grandchildren of Clara & Carl Turnlund) came to visit and spent the night. We had a wonderful time visiting and reminiscing and we also got to visit with you, Paul, while we were there. Please know that we are keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers and again our deepest sympathy in the loss of both Shirley and Vernie.
