Marilyn Kasprowicz

Marilyn Kasprowicz, 74, of Warren, MN, passed away on Wednesday evening, October 9, 2013 at the Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND with her family by her side.


Marilyn Marie Franks was born on July 20, 1939 in Warren, MN, the daughter of Mitchel and Dorine (Sandelin) Franks. She graduated from Warren High School in 1957. Marilyn was the first graduate of TRF AVTI Cosmetology Class in 1958. On August 22, 1959, she married Al Kasprowicz. They made their home in Warren. Marilyn worked at Barbs Beauty Shop, Al's Body Shop and Myhre, Drenckhahn and Williams.


She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting and baking and time with the grandkids and great-grandkids. Marilyn enjoyed quilting with First Lutheran Quilters.


Left to mourn her passing are three children, Donna Omdahl of East Grand Forks, MN and Dwight Kasprowicz and Dean Kasprowicz, both of Warren, MN, grandchildren, Ashley (Kris) Rainsberry; Nicholas, Eric (Tarryn) and Chelsey Omdahl and Brittany (Hugo), Dillon and Dakota Kasprowicz; seven great-grandsons; Al Kasprowicz of Grand Forks, ND; siblings, Bonnie (Eldor "Speed") Ornquist of Thief River Falls, MN, Rovella Weiland of Euclid, MN and Robert (Bernadette) Franks and Mike (Donna) Franks all of Warren, MN; many nieces and nephews and special friend, Ron Reich.


She was preceded in death by her parents; two children, David and Diane; daughter-in-law, Becky Kasprowicz and brother-in-law, John Weiland.


MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 10:30 AM on Monday, October 14, 2013 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Warren, MN.
VISITATION: After 5:00 PM with a 6:30 PM prayer service on Sunday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Warren and one hour before services at the church on Monday.
INTERMENT: Calvary Cemetery, Warren, MN
