Bill, "Fun Time Polka" is on PBS and out of the blue I remembered you saying your parents loved to dance. I googled your name and found your dad's obituary. I'm sorry for your loss, but how wonderful that your parents were able to spend so many good years together and didn't need to spend much time alone. My mom passed in September of 2012. She was buried on my parents' 63rd wedding anniversary. My dad died in April of 2014. We were both blessed to have loving, supportive parents who lived long, full lives. May your life be filled with sweet memories of time with your parents.

Bill, I can only hope you remember me from school. I had the great pleasure to enjoy your parents company while I was the site manager at AEOA senior dining program. I was so amazed at the love they shared for each other. Your mom and dad were such beautiful people and I truly enjoyed the stories, photos and all the times they talked about you and your brother and how they loved and were so proud of you both. They will be missed by a lot of the elderly here in Aurora. I'm so sorry for your loss Bill, Bless you and your brother. Debby LaValley

Debby,
Your kind words are greatly appreciated. Mom struggled for about a week with pneumonia which was difficult for us all. Dad supported her to the end, and then died while explaining Mom's death to his apartment friends at their weekly coffee. He just started crying, slumped down and died. While difficult for David, myself and our families, it somehow seems appropriate for them to be together to the end.
Bill
PS. I do remember you, Debby! Thanks for taking care of my parents through your connections with them!

Bill and David - you won't remember me, but I used to babysit for both of you when you lived in Ironton. At that time I remember how devoted your parents were to each other and from reading the obituary it sounds like they were devoted to each other until the day they passed away. What a wonderful obituary you wrote for them. May they rest in peace.

Diane,
I actually vaguely remember you. It has been over 60 years as I am 65 now!
Bill
PS. Like my parents, Carol and I have two sons, Peter and Adam.

Our condolences to the family on the loss of your parents. We have fond memories of them from the Aurora UMC and the Biwabik Masonic Lodge. We are sure Bill went as soon as he could to follow his beloved Marie on their journey to Eternity. We only pray our love is as strong and lasting. Farewell my Brother.

Our condolences to your family, I don't know your family but was so moved at how two best friends could of passed almost at the same time. Truly an amazing couple, the story you wrote you need to share of with the Duluth News Tribune, the story of their love and how two such amazing people could simply not live without each other. You two boys are so lucky to of grown up in that family. Growing up with that strength, and that is what sustained them, and why they were so active for so long. Jeno Paulucci and his wife had that same love, they passed away four days apart. Our deepest sympathy to you, but I feel that they are together in heaven, just as it should be. Eternally.

My condolences and a note of thanks to the family for writing such a beautiful obituary. I do not know you but was checking in on the Virginia news paper and when I saw both of their names I was compelled to read further.

On the day of your parents funeral my husband and I will be celebrating our 34th anniversary. Your parents are a wonderful example of a lifetime of love.

Sandra,
Mom and Dad enjoyed a wonderful life together. They were married 68 years which is twice as long as you and your husband! Hopefully, we can all enjoy many happy years with our spouses!
